Dementia Care 1 Course Image

Understanding Dementia focuses on the physical condition of dementia and how it affects the person. This course also explores the myths and stereotypes and considers how these can influence the quality of care given.

Further to this, it introduces the person-centred qualities that a skilled carer would reflect in their day-to-day practice, and how person centred values and modified techniques can improve a carer’s ability to provide responsive and supportive dementia care.

“Engaging training, with clear distinct sections that build on each other to support the learning process. The course is of a consistently high quality.”
